Check Stokes County Arrests on VINE

A Stokes County VINE arrest check tracks one person's custody status after a booking. That booking happens at the Stokes County Jail. North Carolina calls its statewide service NC SAVAN. VINELink is the public search front end. It covers participating county jails and state adult corrections. Even so, it is not the sheriff's fresh-booking view. Data can lag behind an arrest, so a brand-new booking may not appear right away. Some custody events fall outside its reach entirely, including juvenile and federal holds.

Stokes County VINE Arrest Coverage

North Carolina's NC SAVAN service is the statewide victim notification network. It links county jails and Adult Corrections electronically. New offender information is checked against registrations. When a match appears, the system sends an alert. The service runs around the clock, and registration stays free and anonymous. The King official SAVAN page describes its coverage. It includes the Department of Corrections and most county jails. No Stokes-specific participation promise or fixed update schedule is published. Treat VINELink as a custody notification record. Confirm time-sensitive Stokes County Jail status at (336) 593-8117.

Search Stokes Arrest Custody on VINE

Open the official VINELink service and pick North Carolina. Search one person at a time, since accurate spelling and extra identity details matter when common names return multiple records.

  1. Choose North Carolina as the location.
  2. Select the person or offender search.
  3. Enter the full legal name or available offender identifier.
  4. Review possible matches and compare identifying details.
  5. Open the record to read facility and custody status.
  6. Register only on the correctly matched record.
  7. Save the record identifier and registration PIN separately.

For an arrest that happened only moments ago, check the sheriff's Arrested Today admissions view first. VINELink handles status and alerts. Citizen Connect is the direct Stokes booking source.

North Carolina VINE Search Screen

The official North Carolina person-search route sets the state and asks for identity fields. Those fields locate the custody record.

The search screen is an official interface. It is not a list of Stokes County arrestees, so enter enough detail to pick the right person before opening or registering on a result.

What a Stokes VINE Result Means

VINE tracks custody, not the full arrest report. Labels vary by agency and record. A result can change after release or transfer, so read it beside the county booking number when both systems give identifiers.

Result itemUse
Name and identifierHelps distinguish the custody record from similar names.
Custody statusShows the status currently supplied to VINE.
Facility or agencyIndicates the participating holder or reporting system.
Notification optionOpens registration for supported custody events.
Transfer or release changeMay trigger an alert after the source reports the event.

A VINE result is not a court disposition. It also skips charge history, incident narratives, and booking-photo archives. Use Citizen Connect for Stokes booking cards and the North Carolina court Portal for case progress.

Register for Stokes Custody Alerts

Registration ties a phone number or email address to one offender record. NC SAVAN allows several of each. The four-digit PIN confirms receipt and manages telephone notifications. Keep it private.

  1. Open the verified person record.
  2. Select the registration or notification option.
  3. Choose phone or email, and add another channel if useful.
  4. Create the required four-digit PIN.
  5. Confirm the contact details and selected events.
  6. Respond to phone notices as directed with the PIN.
  7. Recheck registration after a transfer.

Routine phone notifications run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to the state FAQ. Critical release, escape, and capture alerts can arrive at any hour. The service itself runs every day, all day. Alerts depend on data from the holding agency.

Official VINE Registration Route

Register through the official VINELink registration landing route.

This is the service entry point. Alert options depend on the selected record, the state deployment, and the data supplied by the participating agency.

Stokes VINE Transfer Rules

A transfer can break the chain. The NC SAVAN FAQ says a registrant may need to call and re-register after a person moves from a county jail to another agency. Never assume the first registration follows every move. Keep the person's full name, booking number, VINE identifier, prior facility, and transfer date when known.

Search the receiving system next. Register again if the new record offers alerts. A sentence to state prison can place the person in the NC Department of Adult Correction offender locator. That locator uses a different identifier and serves a different purpose than the Stokes booking card.

Registration attaches to a matched record, not a name. When the holding agency changes, the receiving system may create a new record or offer different events. Check the old registration. Then locate the new custody record. Use the NC SAVAN hotline when status is unclear, especially when a county-jail stay becomes a state-prison placement.

When Stokes VINE Has No Match

NC SAVAN does not watch every hold. It misses people held at a police precinct or another local police facility. It also misses anyone who bonds out at the magistrate level without a jail booking. Juvenile and mental facilities fall outside its scope too. Those gaps can explain a missing result even after real police contact.

Check the official Stokes Inmate Confinements view, then call the jail. Current Confinements answers who is in custody now, while Last 24 Hour Admits and Last 7 Days Admits show who entered during those windows. A release removes someone from the current view. The dated admit card remains, though.

Spelling creates another gap. Try the full legal name and compare every identifier before treating two records as one person. If Citizen Connect shows a fresh Stokes County booking but VINE does not, save the booking number and ask the jail whether the record has reached the notification system. Stokes publishes no official update deadline.

No result is not proof. Intake delay, nonparticipating custody, early bond, transfer, or an identity mismatch can all produce a gap.

Federal Custody Is Outside VINE

VINELink has one clear limit: federal custody. It is not the federal Bureau of Prisons locator. For that, turn to the BOP Inmate Locator, which finds federal inmates by name or register number. The BOP refreshes its data daily. That pace still won't mirror a local booking feed, so don't rely on it for fresh Stokes County arrests. ICE, likewise, runs its own separate detainee locator. The NC Department of Adult Correction search is another distinct tool, covering state prison, probation, parole, and older state records while excluding county jail information outright. Reach for it after a state sentence or transfer, not as a first check after a Stokes arrest.

Use the Stokes Booking Identifier

Citizen Connect and VINE use different record identifiers. Save the Stokes booking number from the county card. Save the identifier VINE displays too. Both numbers help jail or notification staff separate people with similar names. Also note the date, facility, and status when you register, since any of them can change after a transfer or a release. No booking photograph is required to subscribe. Don't treat photo availability as the test of a good match either; compare the official identity fields instead. The Stokes card may show a public photo, while the VINE result stays focused on custody. Neither is a gallery or a final case account.

Confirm Stokes Arrest and Release Alerts

For current Stokes County custody, call the jail directly at 1013 N Main St. in Danbury, (336) 593-8117. Need routing help or a booking record? The Stokes County Sheriff's Office administrative line is (336) 593-8787. NC SAVAN runs a statewide hotline at 1-877-627-2826, and Victim Support Services lists 1-866-719-0108.

An alert reports a custody event. It is not a safety guarantee, so confirm any release or transfer with the holding agency and build personal safety plans through official support channels. A missed call means little. A delayed email is not proof that custody stayed the same. Check the VINE record instead. Then call the facility holding the person. Update your registration whenever a phone number or email changes.

Alerts only travel through current contact details. NC SAVAN allows more than one number and more than one email, so a second channel cuts the risk of a missed notice. Keep the four-digit PIN handy to acknowledge phone messages. Never share it with anyone. After a known transfer, revisit the matched record and confirm your event choices still fit the custody stage. That final step keeps alerts aligned with where the person actually sits.
